Tsukasa Taiko’s first staged concert of 2020 took place at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre on Thursday, January 16th at 7:30 PM. Located in Arlington Heights, MPAC is right by the satellite location of our dojo at Chicago Futabakai Japanese School. This 20-member production featured two Grandmaster dancers from Shubukai Shunojo and Yoshinojo Fujima Sensei. Our executive director Tatsu Aoki provided an in-depth description of each of our performance pieces, revealing stories behind the choreography and music that is typically reserved at community shows. This concert also incorporated special arrangements of compositions presented at our Taiko Legacy MCA showcase, inviting audience members to experience the height of our artistry in a different stage setting.
