Since 2015, Tsukasa Taiko has been an active participant of the Chicago Park District’s annual Night Out in the Parks program. Our ensemble members have performed at over 20 different Chicago parks throughout the years, presenting an average 2hr performance each night. Our Night Out in the Parks performances are specifically curated to be equally entertaining and informative, blending elements of traditional Japanese music, dance, and interactive demonstrations that encourage audience engagement. Always free and open to the public, Tsukasa Taiko has been excited to perform all over the city for various local communities, serving as a Chicago summer staple act.
Palmisano Park was a unique 26 acre site in the heart of Bridgeport, and is also the home to the Stearns Quarry. We performed at the rear entrance of the park, aiming to surprise the usual park attendants with our traveling sounds and music.
